This is an illustrated story journal written by Dr. Lisa Montgomery, aimed at kids ages from 8 to 12. The journal follows a short story about violet and her journey exploring the different colors of the rainbow. Readers follow Violet's journey from sadness to hope, by expressing their thoughts and feelings through prompts correlated with each color of the rainbow. To bring a soothing and calming effect, I used a light and soft textured illustration paired with a colorful palette to fully immerse users into the beauty of the rainbow. I used a soft rounded san serif typeface through the book, which fits the friendly tone of the journal and is easily legible to anyone using the journal.
